Insights beyond one’s own horizons

With the aim of opening up new perspectives for trainees, nine companies in the Enzkreis district have joined forces in the ‘Trainee meets trainee’ project. In groups of three companies each, the participants were able to gain exciting insights into other apprenticeship professions and companies.

Five trainees from IMO Oberflächentechnik GmbH were right in the thick of things, welcoming their colleagues from MSE GmbH and Kunzmann Maschinenbau GmbH at 7 a.m. They organised the morning at IMO themselves, giving presentations, guiding visitors through the production facilities and explaining the processes involved in electroplating in a practical way. This not only allowed them to present their company, but also to strengthen their communication skills, appear confident and take on responsibility within the team.

After the visit to IMO, the tour continued to the partner companies MSE and Kunzmann, where further valuable insights into various training paths were gained. The focus was particularly on the exchange between the trainees. They took the opportunity to ask questions, discover common ground and make contacts across company boundaries. The result was a lively interaction and an eventful day that broadened the horizons of all participants.
