On the nationwide Girls’ Day on April 23, 2026, we at IMO opened our doors to interested schoolgirls and gave them the opportunity to get an up-close look at our company and the world of work. The goal of this event is to provide young talent with practical insights, spark their curiosity, and highlight career prospects for their future – in our case, introducing them to the profession of surface coater.
After a brief tour of our facility and an introduction to the various departments, we headed straight to the production floor. Our trainees demonstrated how silver and gold are professionally applied to workpieces. The absolute highlight: the participants were able to get hands-on, gilding and silvering individual parts and then assembling them into a scented candle holder. A creative project—and a shining memory of a special day at IMO.
Girls’ Day 2026 was filled with new experiences, lots of enthusiasm, and plenty of sparkle. A heartfelt thank you to all the employees who made this day possible and participated with such dedication.

When a group of pupils, kitted out in wellies and armed with landing nets, are out and about in the Kämpfelbach in the Allmendwiesen, it means the Ökomobil is visiting IMO once again. Pupils from the Heynlin School had the opportunity to explore the ‘stream’ habitat under the guidance of biologist Juliane Zimmermann.
In mid-June, the stamping industry gathered in Pforzheim for the eighth time. More than 130 exhibitors showcased their products, solutions and services across an area of around 4,000 m². At the IMO stand, we used the three days of the trade fair to engage in in-depth and personal discussions with our customers.
