Trainee get-to-know-you weekend in the Black Forest

On September 1st, the time had come: our new trainees began their journey into working life. The first three days were all about getting to know each other, as well as our company and the various departments.

This was followed by three days in a cosy holiday home in the Black Forest. The aim was to get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere, far away from everyday office life. Right from the start, the trainees took on responsibility and planned the catering for the entire stay together – including shopping and organisation. The first evening was heralded with cooking together, good food and lots of laughter. The trainees exchanged ideas with their trainers in a relaxed atmosphere. Topics such as ‘How do I present myself in front of a group?’, ‘How does communication work in the company?’ and ‘What are the wishes and duties of trainees?’ were discussed openly and practically.

The second day offered an exciting outdoor programme: an external trainer led the group through a varied orienteering rally with ropingralle stations, fire drills and team challenges. Courage, skill and, above all, team spirit were required, and our trainees showed what they were made of!

The second evening also ended in a cosy atmosphere – with lots of conversations, games played together and a strengthened sense of group spirit. The weekend was a complete success and showed how important good teamwork is for a successful start to training.
