IMO Christmas donation 2025

Exercise trainer for the Schömberg Children’s Hospital

The Schömberg Children’s Hospital is delighted to receive a generous Christmas donation from IMO Oberflächentechnik GmbH. On Wednesday, December 16th 2025, IMO Managing Director Bernd Müller and his wife Ute presented a symbolic cheque for €10,000. ‘We are delighted with IMO’s tremendous commitment to our children’s hospital. We greatly appreciate this contribution,’ said Jan Schäfer, Head of Physiotherapy, expressing his gratitude.

The donation will enable a long-awaited, important investment that will benefit young patients: the money will be used to purchase a THERA-Trainer, a therapy device for robot-assisted movement training of the arms and legs. ‘The new, modern device enables children to perform important exercises independently and even directly at their bedsides so that they can continue training after their therapy sessions – a major step forward that will promote their mobility, independence and well-being in the long term,’ explains Jan Schäfer.

Bernd Müller is delighted that the IMO Christmas donation will be put to practical use immediately and that the new device will help many children and improve their quality of life. “When we help children, we are investing in a better future for everyone. That is why we are very happy to support the children’s hospital. The facility in Schömberg does great work, and it is important to me and my employees to be able to contribute to this,” explains IMO Managing Director Bernd Müller. It is a matter close to his and his wife’s hearts to empower young people on their journey through life.

The Schömberg Children’s Hospital is a specialist neurological hospital. Infants, children, adolescents and young adults with a wide variety of neurological diagnoses are treated there. Its core competencies lie in the comprehensive care of severely affected patients who require a high level of care. Doctors, nurses, therapists and educators work hand in hand to provide the best possible individual care for children and adolescents, accompanied by their caregivers. The child-friendly and family-like atmosphere helps to make the stay as pleasant as possible.

More information about the facility is available on the Schömberg Children’s Hospital website.
