Advent donation from IMO staff

Employees show their generosity to social institutions in the region

In the run-up to Christmas, employees of the IMO Group in Königsbach-Stein once again demonstrated their commitment to people and animals in the local area. For the fourth time in a row, they generously filled donation baskets with non-perishable food, hygiene items and animal supplies. Under the festively decorated Christmas tree in the entrance area of the IMO administration building, the collection grew each week of the campaign, impressively reflecting the team’s connection to the region. The motto of the campaign, ‘Everyone gives what they can and want to,’ was the focus of the event.

Kay and Armin Müller, sons of IMO Managing Director Bernd Müller, presented the donations to the respective institutions. ‘We are very pleased to see what an impressive amount of items has been collected again this year,’ the brothers agreed. At the same time, they emphasised their gratitude: ‘We are incredibly proud of our great IMO team!’

As in previous years, the campaign was divided into three themed weeks. It kicked off with support for the Straßenengel Pforzheim charity, which received numerous donations such as sleeping mats, non-perishable food and shoes. IMO employee Tony Simone has been volunteering with Straßenengel for a long time and, together with two colleagues, accompanies homeless people who are in need of support throughout the year. He was particularly pleased with the great response from his colleagues this year. On behalf of all Straßenengel and those in need, he expressed his sincere thanks for the extraordinary abundance of donations.

In the second week, the staff dedicated themselves to the Remchingen food bank and provided non-perishable food and hygiene items. The manager, Katrin Bauer, accepted the goods with great gratitude and emphasised the high value of this support. Products with a longer shelf life are particularly important for the food bank, as they are rarely available in regular shops. Hygiene products are just as important, as are sweets for the youngest customers, of course. The food bank currently has around 350 adult customers and just as many children. Around 60 eligible households visit the shop on distribution days to stock up on essential goods.

The donation campaign concluded at the animal shelter in Pforzheim. As in previous years, the handover took place directly on site. Together with IMO employee and animal lover Laura-Rita Chiarello, Armin Müller presented extensive packages of dog food, cat food and small animal supplies to the animal shelter staff. They were deeply moved by the generosity of the employees and were very pleased with the valuable support.

The renewed participation of the IMO workforce in this Advent donation impressively demonstrates how strongly community, compassion and responsibility are anchored in the company. The donations go where they are urgently needed and show appreciation for both people and animals alike.
